Marquee solutions for awkward spaces

At Time Marquees we love a challenge and some of our biggest head-scratchers have been dealing with marquees for awkward spaces. Luckily for us, Robert and Richard thrive on the tricky situations! We can make most areas work and have even installed a marquee over a swimming pool before.

L-shaped garden

If your garden is L-shaped so you’re dismissing the idea of a marquee for a forthcoming party… think again. Our radial arm marquee creates the perfect L-shape. This type of marquee presents a great opportunity to wow your guests with two entertaining spaces. You can have a dining area at the bottom of the ‘L’ and then the rest of the marquee can be closed off as a dance floor. You could even add a reveal curtain between the two spaces for something extra special.

Additionally, if your garden has different areas, we can create links between marquees to create one big, seamless entertaining space.

Uneven surfaces

Got a garden that sits on different levels? We can raise the floor of the marquee up to create a seamless space all on one level. This is achieved by using a premium cassette floor or interlocking boarded floor with a sub-frame for the flat level surface. Marquee legs can also be extended to cover different heights.

Although standard marquees are installed onto grass and staked into the ground, we also cater for hard surfaces as the marquee can be secured with weights.

Garden obstacles

Obstacles in your garden are tricky. If you have flower borders or small trees, these can be incorporated into the marquee – you can even add some fairy lights and make a feature out of them!

Not long ago we provided marquees for a wedding where the newlyweds had a bush in the garden. We built the marquee over the bush and ended up being the back drop for the bar. The marquee had a clear end allowing light in and making the most of the feature.
