Our top event marquees of 2023
We also had the pleasure of welcoming new exciting clients onto our marquee hire books. Variety is the spice of life, and no two years are the same for us. Join us as we take a stroll down memory lane and revisit some of our top event marquees that made 2023 truly special.
Event marquees fit for King’s Coronation celebrations in Surrey & beyond
The King’s Coronation was on 6th May 2023, and we were privileged to hire marquees for a selection of events, including a large marquee in Windsor Great Being part of such a momentous event is certainly the jewel in our 2023 crown (but we don’t want to brag or talk about this too much. Wink wink).
Further afield in Surrey, Foxhills Golf Club hosted a Kings Coronation Lawn party for their members. We supplied a 5m pagoda for bar cover, plus a larger and adaptable clearspan marquee for food service and guest areas. We ensured the festivities were nothing short of spectacular. And not forgetting the essentials, we also provided luxury loos for members’ convenience.
Our involvement also extended to private parties where clients, eager to witness history, opted for marquee cover to mitigate the unpredictable spring showers. One client went the extra mile, bringing in an AV company to project the ceremony on a big screen, creating a truly immersive coronation party for their guests.
From parks to golf clubs to homes, our skilled and professional team takes the time to listen to each client to best understand their event needs and requirements. Every client is a king to us.
We pride ourselves on supporting those planning stages as much as possible, including pre-event site visits, careful client consultation, regular communication, flexible arrangements, contingency plans and on-call help on the day of the event.
Home is where the stretch tent party is
Private parties and celebrations at home came bouncing back in the summer. Our marquees played a large part in keeping guests dry rather than cooling them in the shade, thanks to a wetter summer than usual.
Our Stretch Tents were in great demand, because not only they provide a functional and stylish cover that can protect guests from the elements when it rains, but also they allow air flow on a hot day.
Read about how our Sally’s 40th birthday party got in the groove with a stretch tent installation. The temperature was hot when the stretch tent went up giving guests a welcome break from the sun. And later in the evening, the heavens opened which helped getting guests on the dancefloor. It’s moments like these that make us appreciate the role our marquees play in turning events into unforgettable memories.
Instead of a single fixed point, a stretch tent is a freeform fabric structure that allows for a variety of configurations in terms of shape and height. We offer a number of size options with our stretch tents. The smallest is a 7.5m x 10m, which can fit up to 40 guests seated or up to 50 guests standing. They really are the life and soul of a party.
Getting hitched at home
Birthdays bashes weren’t the only reason for celebrating at home in 2023. We witnessed a rise in more personal and intimate weddings held at home. Couples embraced the versatility of our marquees, not just for the wedding day but also for family gatherings the day after, turning the celebration into a weekend-long affair.
The flexibility of our structures allowed for creative and personalised setups, making each wedding a unique and cherished day to remember. Our elegant marquees provide the blank canvas for you to create the perfect backdrop for your nuptials. You can make your wedding personal to you, talk us through your big day ideas and we help turn them into a reality.
Royal Windsor Flower Show: Blooms and marquees in harmony
Our marquees came up roses and graced Windsor Great Park once again for the Royal Windsor Flower Show’s 116th edition. From pagodas to stretch tents and large clearspan frame marquees, we installed 10 structures that added a touch of elegance to this prestigious event.
Hosted The Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society, this event is a fabulous day out for the whole family. The show features beautiful showcase gardens, fantastic plant nurseries, inspiring speakers, and a competition marquee.
The show, opened by the Duchess of Edinburgh and honorary president Alan Titchmarsh, drew many famous faces. Our marquees not only provided functional cover but also became a set for the beauty and charm of the Royal Windsor Flower Show.
Cricket extravaganza: Hartley Wintney Festival
July was the return of the HWCC festival, where Time Marquees’ meticulous event planning and thorough consultation scored a straight six with adaptable structures for three events spanning four days.
Beyond providing shelter, our marquees became a central element in raising valuable funds for two local brain tumour charities. Our sister companies Deluxe Loos and Simply Chillers provided loos and fridge units for the events, ensuring the whole occasion was seamless.
Don’t get caught out when planning a sporting event, we have plenty of marquees suitable for rugby balls, polo and more. Not only you’ll keep your spectators comfortable whatever the weather, you’ll make a great impression.
